Shoes

Do you make custom shoes?

Yes. We offer custom shoes to meet specific needs that are not covered by our in-stock models. A custom order applies to any configuration that differs from our Swiss Knife and Ranger models.

You can customize the following elements:

Outsole

  • Road
  • Trail

Sole thickness

  • T1 – Low-profile racer sole
  • T2 – Lite trainer sole
  • T3 – Cushioned sole

Drop

  • 4 mm
  • 7 mm
  • 10 mm

Lead time for custom orders typically ranges from 10 to 20 weeks.

Pricing

  • Custom shoes: $210 + taxes
  • Waterproof option: +$10
  • Winter option: +$10

A $50 deposit is required to reserve your pair. The remaining balance is due once the shoes arrive at our distribution center.

How do I choose my size? 

Our shoes run slightly smaller than standard. If you are unsure of your GRYPH size, we recommend going up 1/2 size (US) from your usual size. How many kilometers can we run with YUL or GRYPH shoes? 

Our shoes are designed for durability. Under normal use, we guarantee a minimum of 1,000 kilometers, which is well above market standards. Depending on usage, many runners exceed this distance.

What is the difference between the three sole thickness options?

T3 – Cushioned Sole (∑³)
Designed for maximum cushioning and comfort. Ideal for runners looking for shock absorption and long-run comfort.

T2 – Lite Trainer Sole (∑²)
Our most versatile option. Suitable for all types of runs, from intervals to everyday training. A balanced mix of comfort, responsiveness, and performance.

T1 – Racer Minimalist Sole (∑¹)
Lightweight and responsive. Designed to preserve natural stride mechanics and deliver efficient energy transfer with minimal interference.

Ordering

Do you offer pre-ordering?

Yes — in a targeted and intentional way.

We keep our most popular models in inventory to ensure fast availability. Pre-ordering is used to meet specific or individual needs that are not covered by stocked models, including custom configurations or limited runs.

This approach allows us to remain flexible while avoiding unnecessary overproduction.

How long will it take to receive my order? 

For in-stock products, orders are prepared and shipped within 1 to 2 business days. Delivery typically occurs within 5 business days, depending on the destination.

Custom or pre-ordered products follow the timelines communicated at the time of purchase.

Which models do you keep in inventory?

We regularly keep the following models in stock:

  • Swiss Knife (road & trail)
  • Ranger (road & trail)

Waterproof options may also be available.
During fall and winter, a winter option is also offered.

About the brand

Why did YUL-RUN change its name to GRYPH?

GRYPH is the continuation of the same company, products, values, and team — under a new name.

The change is strategic and legal, allowing us to move forward with a clearer, more scalable brand identity. YUL-RUN now exists solely as a historical reference.

Has anything changed in the products?

No. The products remain the same — same design philosophy, same manufacturing partners, same quality standards. Only the brand name has changed.

Is GRYPH a new company?

No. GRYPH is the current name of the company formerly known as YUL-RUN. The experience, expertise, and foundations behind the brand remain unchanged.
